Moreover, we must pay tribute to the special imprint left by people such as Maggie Lena Walker, John Mercer Langston, Booker T. Washington, Anne Spencer, Robert R. Moton, Vernon and Barbara Johns, and others like them. Their personal achievements are a source of inspiration to all Virginians.
